New MIU Alumni Portal

In July of 2021 we are launching a new portal, with enhanced functions and upgraded visuals. We think you will find that it features an amazing expansion of possibilities.

New Home Page

We will have a new home page. The web address will be the same: HTTPS://MIUALUM.ORG. 

Once you have activated your membership (we will send you an email), you will be able to log in (see red arrow). Or you can ask to join the portal using the “Request Invitation” top navigation bar button.

Personal Profile page

Once you log in, you will arrive at your personal profile page and the first thing you will want to do is to update your profile.

The SUPER EASY way to do that is to click on the blue button (see red arrow below) to import the information that you have already set as your profile on LinkedIn.

Then, anytime you update your LinkedIn profile you can update your Alumni profile with the push of a button.

You can also edit your profile using the white edit buttton (see yellow arrow). In that area, you can customize the background image behind your personal photo, creating a beautiful mini-website/profile.

Once you have activated your new portal membership, you will get access to all of the tools, including:

  • Map-enhanced Alumni directory and search tool
  • Event calendar
  • Media center—images and videos of interest
  • Discussion forums
  • Groups by graduation year, area of study, and home country—each with their own internal communication tools
  • News
  • Venture capital proposals
  • Opportunities

In the Opportunities area, you will be able to:

  • Post a job
  • Find a job
  • Find a partner for a project
  • Find mentorship
  • Find contacts and leads
  • Post an internship
  • Find an internship
  • Call for people interested in a project or mission
  • Offer a volunteer opportunity
  • Offer a short-term project
